From the Chair
Hello CACC Members,
I hope that everyone enjoyed our last meeting with Tom Kelly, Director, Executive Compensation with Towers Watson on an informative topic regarding executive compensation trends.
I cannot believe that it is July already given that it feels like we just enjoyed our spring social. I wanted to share a few photos below from our event which was held at Chef Alyssa’s kitchen in April. We had a lot of fun spending time together, cooking and eating! I want to thank our Member Meetings Director, Sheryl Solomon, for finding such a unique activity and I know that she has already identified some great options for our fall event and hope that you will be able to join us. More information to come!
Enjoy these summer months with family and friends, and we’ll see you again September 9th for a timely topic on FLSA Overtime Exemption Standards.
Have a happy and safe holiday!
Teresa Newman, SPHR, SHRM-SCP 2015 CACC Chair

Member Meeting
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, September 9th at our usual meeting site, the Crowne Plaza Charlotte Executive Park at 5700 Westpark Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217. As I’m sure most of you have heard, the Department of Labor is about to issue new regulations which will significantly impact exemption classifications.
The agency has completed its work, and the proposed standards are now with the Office of Management and Budget for final review. In light of these far-reaching changes, our guest speaker will be Steve Greene of Helms & Greene PLC. His presentation will address the anticipated new FLSA Overtime Exemption Standards. Steve is a WorldatWork Compensation Advisory Council member, and he recently presented on this topic at the 2015 WorldatWork Total Rewards Conference.
