From the Chair
 Allie Woody 2020 Board Chair
Hello CACC Members!
So much has changed since we were all together in February. These are unprecedented times and we are all learning how to live and work in our new circumstances. We are being called upon to rapidly update compensation and benefits programs to support our organizations, employees, and their families. Many of us are mixing parenting with our workday and have taken on the added responsibility of educator. I sincerely hope that each of you are settling into a routine in the new normal and are also able to find time for yourselves.
Your CACC Board has been working to ensure that we are able to continue to provide opportunities which support your ongoing professional development. You will see that we are hosting our May member meeting virtually and have taken advantage of WorldatWork's e-learning platform for our upcoming course offerings.
We recognize that these virtual events do not afford the same opportunity to network and share with peers. We look forward to resuming in person meetings, courses, and scheduling informal social events later this year once it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your continued membership with CACC. We look forward to seeing you virtually in May!

Wellness Program Incentives
Now more than ever, we know that healthier, more engaged employees are not only more productive, but help create a healthier bottom line and a greater ROI. How can your organization's wellness program incentive structure increase participation to achieve (and exceed) your goals? Please join us for our next meeting on May 6, where Dean Kiradjieff from Interactive Health will be leading a discussion on "Wellness Program Incentives - Starting with the end in mind to impact your bottom line." Interactive Health helps organizations across the country improve employee health and understands the positive financial impact of a more engaged, active workforce. Dean will walk through specific steps as to how to implement these programs, provide actual case studies, and strategies that you can apply with your own teams.
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for our first ever virtual member meeting on Wednesday, May 6th from 9:00-10:30am. Registration for the webinar can be completed on the CACC website via the event calendar here.

The way we are working, and learning has changed during the Coronavirus pandemic, but they have not stopped! Take advantage of e-learning to enhance your knowledge of Total Rewards while practicing social distancing. E-learning is self-paced and the student learns through recorded content. Our on-site classes scheduled for May have been converted to e-learning in order to keep everyone safe during the Coronavirus pandemic. In July we will resume with our previously scheduled on site classes if it is safe to do so. It's difficult to not mention the challenging environment we find ourselves navigating in early 2020 with the COVID-19 pandemic. I think the year started with much optimism that over the course of just a few weeks in March has been severely curtailed in many ways - furloughs, layoffs, pay reductions, toilet paper demand (!), stay-at-home orders, remote work when some lives aren't set up to do it (and maybe your family isn't either), etc. Many of you are working hard to keep your businesses operating through pay strategies, information sharing, and perhaps coaching colleagues more often than usual.
Whatever the next 'normal' will be, my hope is that we can safely and swiftly make our path through these rough waters.
Your CACC membership offers you the opportunity to get to know the ever-growing Compensation and Human Resources community in the Greater Charlotte Area, WorldatWork certification courses, providing/receiving mentoring, and so much more!
