From the Chair

Stephanie Oberg
2018 CACC Chair

Happy fall y'all! October is here, which begins the 4th quarter of the calendar year. For many of us, we are in the midst of conducting benefits open enrollment, reviewing year-end bonuses, finalizing budgets, communicating pay changes and/or completing several other projects and initiatives.
A recent WorldatWork Survey reported that nearly half of those surveyed felt that communication was something organizations do well to improve perceptions of reward fairness. Coincidentally, that same group felt communication was the cause for eroded perceptions of rewards fairness.
We can see why communication is so important!
Join us at our next member meeting on November 7th as Willis Towers Watson discusses their Total Rewards Optimization Tool that can help companies maximize their ROI by evaluating reward offerings against employees' behavior and values.  The head of benefits from Wells Fargo will also be joining us to speak to a case study on how the Total Rewards Optimization Tool helped their organization. We will have an opportunity to pair this analysis with how best to communicate with employees. After all, once we identify the optimum total rewards package for employees, we should want to share the news!
Hope to see you there!

Stephanie Oberg, PHR, SHRM-CP
2018 CACC Chair
