 Member Meeting

We are pleased to announce Kenny Colbert, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, President & CEO of The Employers Association (TEA), as our speaker for our upcoming Member Meeting on Wednesday May 11th, 2016.

As some of you may know, The Employers Association and former Executive Vice President, Jan Karow, were part of the Founding Members in the planning and assembly of CACC. Kenny, more specifically, has been an active member of CACC since 1994, and provides us with Legislative Updates at each member meeting. So when thinking about a topic for May, it only seemed fitting to have Kenny join us as our keynote speaker provided the recently passed, and pending legislation both at the local, regional, and national level. The focus of the meeting will be to learn about recent updates to the pending FLSA changes, the impact of the recently passed HB2 Bill for NC, what constitutes a contractor, and much more!

At The Employers Association, Kenny is responsible for leading the strategic planning activities and directing the development of new services. He has been President of The Employers Association since 2003 and has more than 30 years of experience in Human Resources!

We hope that you can join us. Meeting details and registration information is below.

Mentoring

This year's CACC mentoring program is in full swing!  Our kick-off event took place on Tuesday, March 15th, at the PNG building in South Park.  So far this year we have four mentors paired with four mentees.  However, if you were unable to attend the event and would still like to participate in the program, our doors are always open!

As we go through this year, mentors and mentees will continue to work with each other at their own pace as they continue to receive monthly updates from me.  We would like to invite you to think about participating in the program.  Especially if you are participating in the certification courses offered by CACC or are just a new member in general!  This will allow you to take advantage of a program that gives you the opportunity to closer network with someone in CACC.

Feel free to reach out to me anytime via the contact information below if you have questions regarding the program, or would like to participate in the program.  There's always room for more!

2016 Mentoring Director
